Emma works with people whose lives have been affected by illness, medical treatment, or experiences in the healthcare system that were difficult, confusing, or overwhelming.
Through her background in nursing and her years of experience as a therapist, Emma has developed a deep understanding of how illness and medical experiences can affect anxiety, confidence, mood, relationships, and a person’s sense of themselves. She has spent many years learning about and working closely with the emotional impact of chronic illness, medical trauma, long-term symptoms, and the grief or uncertainty that health changes can bring.
Her approach is gentle, compassionate, and grounded in helping people make sense of their experiences without blame or pressure. Emma supports clients in finding steadiness, confidence, and clarity again after difficult medical or health-related experiences.
Due to accreditation and insurance restrictions, Emma cannot work with clients based in the US or Canada.
A Certified EMDR therapist working with women to and
through the journey of motherhood, helping moms to reclaim a sense of safety in their mind,
body and spirit. Since becoming a mom herself, this has been a passion to help moms resolve past
trauma or trauma related to the journey to motherhood so you can show up for yourself and your
kids in a healthy, joy-filled way.
Also, an area of expertise is working with providers in the
perinatal healthcare field in order to help them digest their trauma they absorb every day with
their own patients and a system that is creating trauma.
She is licensed in NC, VA, DC (United
States) can see telehealth clients in SC and FL and has a fully virtual practice in eastern NC.


Medical Trauma Support is an online platform founded by licensed social worker Sarah Stasica, offering nervous-system-informed education, peer support, and community for those healing from medical trauma and PTSD.
For patients, they provide self-paced courses, online peer support groups, and the Befriend Your Body Community — a space to reconnect with your body, reduce isolation, and build confidence in your healing journey. For healthcare professionals, they offer trauma-informed training, workshops, and certification programmes to help clinicians better support their patients.
